mininglamposs/octo-serverWhat is octo-server?
octo-server is the central Go backend of the OCTO platform, exposing REST and WebSocket APIs consumed by web, desktop, and mobile clients. It orchestrates Lobster AI agents (OpenClaw-powered digital doubles) as first-class conversation participants, handles authentication via token, cookie, or DH-sealed WebSocket frames, and enforces org-aware RBAC with per-channel ACLs. The server drives WuKongIM for real-time messaging, supports pluggable MySQL-compatible storage and S3-compatible object storage (MinIO, Aliyun OSS, Tencent COS, Qiniu, SeaweedFS), and integrates with push notification services (APNS, HMS, Mi, Vivo, Oppo, Firebase) and third-party OAuth (GitHub, Gitee). It can be deployed via the official Docker Compose stack (octo-deployment) or built as a standalone binary requiring Go 1.25+, MySQL 8, Redis 7, and a WuKongIM v2 instance. Licensed under Apache 2.0.
Should you self-host octo-server?
