ghcr.io/schelskedevco/ignidashWhat is ignidash?
This retirement planning web application centers on long-range financial forecasts rather than everyday budgeting. It executes large numbers of simulations and checks them against past market records to estimate how likely a plan is to succeed. The software models United States tax consequences of withdrawals and where assets are held, and it adds an AI assistant plus AI-written explanations covering taxes, required minimum distributions, Roth conversions, and withdrawal approaches. Self-hosting runs through Docker with a self-hosted Convex backend, built on Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Sign-in uses Better-Auth with Google OAuth. The project is in beta (v0.2.0); core tools are free during beta while AI features need a paid subscription on the hosted version, but self-hosting stays free. Limitations: United States only (USD, US tax law) and no bank account linking.

FAQ
What AI does Ignidash use, and is my data used to train it?
Ignidash uses GPT-5.2 from Microsoft Azure OpenAI, which has stricter privacy protections than consumer OpenAI. Data is never used for training or shared with third parties.
Do I need to connect my bank and investment accounts?
No. Ignidash works entirely with manually input data and never requires connecting external accounts.
Is my financial data secure?
Yes, data is encrypted and stored securely using Convex, a database platform with enterprise-grade security. Information is never sold.
Is Ignidash free to use?
All core planning tools are completely free during beta, but will be $7/month after. Access to AI features requires a paid subscription. Self-hosting with Docker is free forever.
Is Ignidash available outside the United States?
Not yet. Ignidash only supports planning in US dollars (USD) with US tax laws and retirement accounts.
Does Ignidash provide financial advice?
No, Ignidash is an educational tool for retirement planning simulations, not a substitute for personalized advice from a qualified financial, tax, or legal professional.
