What is SecPi?

SecPi is a self-hosted home alarm system built for Raspberry Pi and compatible Linux devices. It uses a three-component architecture: a web interface for configuration, a central manager that coordinates workers and handles notifications, and workers that run on each device to monitor sensors and execute actions. Users define zones with sensors such as PIR motion detectors or temperature sensors, create setups combining zones, and configure actions like buzzers, speakers, and webcams along with notifiers for email, Twitter, Dropbox, and SMS via GSM modem. The web interface is available on port 8443 using HTTPS with default credentials admin/admin. Installation requires RabbitMQ for messaging and Python packages installed via pip. The project is licensed under GPL-3.0 and last released v1.0.4 in 2018.

SecPi README

SecPi

SecPi is an open source project which gives people the ability to build their own inexpensive, expandable and feature-rich alarm system. We tailored the system to run on the Raspberry Pi but other platforms like the Banana Pi and any other Linux machine should be capable to run the software too. With SecPi it's also possible to connect multiple systems via a network connection and have them work together.
