ghcr.io/njic/medassistWhat is medassist?
MedAssist is a personal medication management tool built by a hobbyist developer to help their partner manage daily medications. The web application tracks medication inventory levels, calculates days until medications run out, and sends email alerts when supplies are low. It includes a travel planner that generates a list of all medications needed for a specified date range with quantities, and can email that list. The dashboard shows upcoming medication schedules for today and tomorrow. A configuration screen lets users add medications with complex dosing schedules (multiple times per day, different intervals). Settings allow configuring SMTP for email notifications, setting the notification threshold (default 10 days), and a display username. The app stores data in a SQLite database file (medication.db) and has no user authentication — the developer notes login is a planned feature. It can be deployed via Docker (image on ghcr.io) or run directly with Node.js. The project is licensed under GPL-3.0 and the author notes they are not a medical or programming professional, so the app should not be relied upon for critical health decisions.
