What is shaark?

Shaark is a self-hosted web application for managing personal content including bookmarks with health checks, markdown-formatted posts, encrypted password vaults, and photo albums. It supports tagging, full-text search, RSS/Atom feeds, and can be entirely private or public with temporary sharing. The app includes two-factor authentication, multi-user support with admin roles, PDF and media archiving via Puppeteer and youtube-dl, and automated backups. It runs on PHP (Laravel) with Vue.js frontend, using MySQL/MariaDB or SQLite, with optional Redis for caching and queues. Installation is available via Docker Compose or manual Git+Composer setup. The project is licensed under MIT.
