What is open-compute?
This self-hosted platform runs Cloudflare Workers apps on your own machines using a single Rust binary. It combines the workerd runtime, a control plane, scheduler, and all product bindings into one executable called ocd. Embedded SQLite handles metadata while the local filesystem or optional S3-compatible storage holds object data, so no external databases, caches, or Kubernetes are required. Deploy Workers with cloudflare.config.ts and the cf CLI, using Vite and frameworks like React, Vue, Svelte, Hono, and FastAPI. A web dashboard gives operators control over resources across instances. Native extensions let Workers reach local hardware and libraries through standard Service Bindings. Licensed Apache-2.0, currently at v0.3.0, with 99% API compatibility on core Workers surfaces.
