ghcr.io/babarot/oksskoltenWhat is oksskolten?
Oksskolten is an AI-native RSS reader built for self-hosting. Unlike typical RSS readers that only display feed summaries, this application fetches each article from its original URL, processes the content through Mozilla's Readability library enhanced with hundreds of noise-removal rules, and saves the output as clean Markdown. This full-text foundation enables on-demand AI summarization and translation across three LLM providers, along with a chat interface powered by an MCP server that can search your archive and answer questions. Authentication methods include passwords, Passkeys (WebAuthn), and GitHub OAuth, each configurable independently. The interface offers fourteen color schemes, custom theme import via JSON, nine reading fonts, and functions offline as a PWA with background sync. Deployment relies on Docker Compose: the main application runs in a single container (Node.js 22, Fastify, React 19) alongside Meilisearch for search, with optional RSS Bridge and FlareSolverr services. Pre-built multi-architecture images are available on GHCR. Licensed under AGPL-3.0.
