What is Newspipe?
Newspipe is a self-hosted web news aggregator built with Flask, asyncio, and SQLAlchemy. It lets individuals or teams own their feed data with multi-user support, a REST API for programmatic feed management, and full data portability via JSON and OPML import/export. Features include search and favorites, inactive feed detection, bookmark management with Pinboard import, article notes, internationalization (English, French, German), optional LDAP authentication, and built-in light/dark themes. It runs on Python 3.13+ with SQLite (default) or PostgreSQL, and feeds are fetched via a scheduled cron job. The project is licensed under AGPL-3.0 and accepts donations via GitHub Sponsors and Bitcoin.
