bmartin5692/bumperWhat is bumper?
Bumper is a standalone server you run yourself that replaces the Ecovacs cloud service for Deebot vacuum robots. It keeps all robot communication on your local network, so the vacuums work even when the internet is down. The software speaks both MQTT and XMPP protocols, covering models such as the Deebot 900/901, 600, Ozmo 950, 601, 930, and M81 Pro. It is experimental and not considered production-ready. You can deploy it with Docker or with Python 3.7 and pipenv, and you need a router that can override DNS so the robots talk to your instance instead of Ecovacs' servers.
Should you self-host bumper?
