madiele/vod2pod-rssWhat is vod2pod-rss?
vod2pod-rss is a self-hosted application that turns YouTube or Twitch channels into podcast RSS feeds. It produces a standard podcast feed playable in any podcast app. Videos are converted to MP3 (192 kbps by default) on demand without being saved to disk, so the server needs no extra storage. The tool can also transcode existing podcast feeds to lower bitrates for mobile data savings. A web interface makes feed creation simple. Deployment uses Docker Compose with Redis for caching. Optional API keys for YouTube and Twitch unlock channel avatars and larger feed sizes. The software runs on Raspberry Pi 3 and 4.
