What is Server Status?

Server Status is a lightweight PHP application that provides a modern-looking status page for monitoring servers and services. It is designed to run on shared web hosting without shell access, requiring only PHP 5.4+ with Gettext and MySQL 5.5+. The project includes an administration panel for managing services and categories, supports multiple languages via gettext, and offers a JSON API for programmatically retrieving status data. Installation is done by uploading files and running a setup script, or manually configuring config.php. The software works without JavaScript and includes example deployments at several public status pages.
