What is openclaw-nerve?
Nerve is a self-hosted web interface that serves as a cockpit for OpenClaw AI agents. It provides a unified control plane for managing multiple agents, each with their own workspace, memory, identity, and skills. Key capabilities include voice interaction with push-to-talk and wake word support using local Whisper transcription and multiple TTS providers, a live file browser and tabbed editor for workspace manipulation, a kanban task board for delegating work to agents, cron scheduling for automated agent runs, session trees with subagent visibility, and real-time observability of token consumption, expenses, and context limits. The UI features 14 themes, adjustable font sizes, a command palette, and responsive design for mobile access. Nerve runs on Node.js 22+ with a React 19 frontend and Hono 4 backend, connecting to an OpenClaw gateway (default port 18789) via WebSocket and REST. Installation is via a one-line installer script or manual npm setup, with systemd service support for production.
