ghcr.io/elfhosted/newtarrWhat is NewtArr?
NewtArr is a maintained fork of Huntarr version 6.6.3 from the ElfHosted team. It strips away the feature creep that appeared in later releases — request handling, Prowlarr management, and built-in downloaders — keeping only the original purpose: scanning *arr libraries for gaps and better-quality files. You point it at your Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr, Readarr, or Whisparr instances using their API keys, and it runs periodic search cycles with adjustable rate limits and schedules. The interface lives on port 9705, settings persist in a mounted config folder, and there's no built-in login; the expectation is that you'll put an SSO gateway such as Authelia or Authentik in front. A third-party audit of the v6.6.3 code flagged a hardcoded session secret, SHA-256 password storage, cross-site scripting holes, and missing CSRF tokens, though these are largely neutralized when the app sits behind an authentication proxy. The codebase uses the GPL-3.0 license.
