What is GlycemicGPT?
GlycemicGPT (also called Lumose) is an open-source diabetes management platform that connects directly to continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps. It provides real-time glucose tracking, AI-generated daily summaries and pattern detection, a conversational AI assistant with diabetes knowledge, and configurable caregiver alerts delivered via Telegram, push notifications, and in-app messages. Supported devices include Dexcom G7 (cloud API), Tandem t:slim X2 and Mobi (Bluetooth LE), Medtronic MiniMed 680G/770G/780G (Bluetooth LE and CareLink cloud), and NovoPen 6/Echo Plus (via Glooko). The platform can also import data from an existing Nightscout installation. The software runs as a self-hosted Docker stack — either Docker Compose or Kubernetes — comprising a Next.js web dashboard, a FastAPI backend, PostgreSQL database, Redis cache, and an AI sidecar that proxies requests to multiple AI providers (local models like Ollama or cloud APIs). Native Android and Wear OS apps provide mobile access with watch face complications. The project is licensed under GPL-3.0 and is in alpha stage.
