ghcr.io/hassio-addons/plexWhat is app-plex?
This Home Assistant Community add-on packages Plex Media Server for easy installation on Home Assistant OS, Supervised, or Container setups. It downloads the official Plex Media Server .deb package from Plex.tv, configures it with a claim code for Plex account linking, and exposes the standard Plex ports (32400 for web UI, plus GDM discovery and DLNA ports). Media directories are mapped to /media and /share on the host. Hardware transcoding is supported via /dev/dri device access. Configuration is done through Home Assistant's add-on UI with options for log level and Plex claim code. The add-on requires a Plex claim token from plex.tv/claim on first run to authenticate the server with your Plex account.
