What is Akashic?
Akashic is a self-hosted geospatial intelligence workspace for exploring and correlating live public data. It combines aircraft positions from ADS-B, satellite orbits via Celestrak, earthquake events from USGS, weather and air quality from Open-Meteo, disaster alerts from GDACS, and public radio stations onto one interactive map using deck.gl and MapLibre. A reconnaissance mode runs concurrent username and email checks across public sources with streamed results. An intelligence deck surfaces current news, country profiles, risk signals, and infrastructure views. The app runs on Next.js 15 with TypeScript, needing Node.js 20+ and npm 10+. No API keys or environment variables are required by default. Licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later, currently at v0.1.0.
