What is yeswiki?
YesWiki is a free, open-source wiki system (AGPL-3.0) designed for collaborative content creation and knowledge management. It runs on PHP 8.3+ with MariaDB or MySQL and can be installed via a web-based installer or Docker Compose. Key capabilities include: granular page-level access control (read/write/comment per user or group), a visual page editor requiring no technical skills, a plugin manager with extensions like BazaR for building custom databases with drag-and-drop forms, multiple visualization modules (calendar, map, directory, news feed, photo album, tables), markdown support, bootstrap-based themes, anti-spam protection, and embed support for images, audio, video, and mind maps. The software includes a web-based installer and is managed entirely from the browser after setup. It originated from the French Wikini fork of WakkaWiki and has strong French-language community support. No native mobile app or dark mode is documented. Authentication is built-in with email/password; no OIDC/LDAP/SAML/2FA mentioned in sources. The production Docker setup uses a custom PHP-FPM image with nginx on port 8085 (container port 80).
