What is Taskosaur?

Taskosaur is an open-source project management platform that merges classic PM tools with a conversational AI assistant. Instead of clicking through menus, you tell the assistant what you need — create a sprint, reassign tasks, build a workflow — and it carries out the steps inside the application in real time. The feature set covers visual Kanban boards, sprint planning, task dependencies, time tracking, file attachments, threaded comments with mentions, and live updates over WebSocket. It also provides two-way Jira synchronization and Trello import at both workspace and project levels. The stack runs on NestJS (backend) and Next.js (frontend) with PostgreSQL and Redis as required services. You can deploy with Docker Compose for development or production, or install manually with Node.js. The codebase uses the Business Source License, which converts to MPL 2.0 after four years.
