Socialhome is a decentralized personal profile with social networking features. Users write posts using Markdown and optionally HTML/JS/CSS (for trusted users). Content can be pinned to profiles and federates to contacts across the federated social web via ActivityPub and Diaspora protocols. The project consists of a Django backend and a separate frontend. It runs via Docker with PostgreSQL and Redis as required dependencies. The backend listens on port 23564 and uses Circus to manage Daphne (HTTP/WebSocket) and Dramatiq (background jobs). Instances can join the public relay system via The-Federation.info for wider content discovery.

FAQ
I accidentally shared someone's content and it's stuck on my profile stream!
This is a known caching issue. Ask your instance admin to clear the profile cache using a Redis CLI command.
How do I report a security issue?
Report security issues privately via email to mail@jasonrobinson.me, not in the public issue tracker.
If I run an instance, will it automatically connect to the network?
No. Federation works through social relationships (following users on other servers) and the public relay system. You must follow remote users or register with The-Federation.info relay to receive content.
