ghcr.io/zingerlittlebee/serverbee-serverWhat is ServerBee?
ServerBee watches over VPS fleets using a central server and tiny agents installed on each host. The server gathers metrics through WebSocket connections, saves them in built-in SQLite, and shows a live React dashboard. Agents need only about 4 MB at startup and 27 MB while running. You get real-time charts for processor, memory, storage, networking, system load, temperature, and I/O with history from one hour up to a month; Docker container statistics, logs, and events; 96 ready-made network probes spread across Chinese carriers and global endpoints; IP reputation and streaming unlock checks for nine popular services; alerting on more than a dozen metric types sent through webhooks, Telegram, Bark, email, or Apple push; a browser-based terminal, a sandboxed file editor, and nftables firewall blocking; sign-in via GitHub, Google, or any OIDC provider with TOTP two-factor, role-based access, and audit trails; customizable drag-and-drop dashboards with 17 widgets and public status pages; plus a native iOS app that pairs by QR code. Install with a one-line script (Docker or binary), Railway one-click, or manual Docker Compose. The server defaults to port 9527. Licensed AGPL-3.0-or-later.
Should you self-host ServerBee?
ServerBee scores 52/100 on selfhost.directory (how scoring works) and ranks #57 of 104 in Monitoring & observability. It has 339 GitHub stars.
There was no stable release in the past 12 months, so check the repository's recent activity before you rely on it.
Setup is moderate: expect some configuration beyond a single command. An official Docker image is available. It is AGPL-3.0-licensed and written mostly in Rust.
Its closest alternative on selfhost.directory is grafana (90/100, 77 562 stars). It scores higher overall, so compare the two before you pick. See ServerBee vs grafana side by side.
