cglatot/pastaWhat is pasta?
PASTA is a web tool for Plex owners who watch shows with multiple audio languages and duplicate-looking subtitle files. It connects to your Plex server, surfaces extra information about each audio and subtitle track, and lets you apply track choices to a whole show or to individual episodes in a few clicks rather than one by one. Everything happens in the browser — there is no backend of its own — and the project was originally served from GitHub Pages, but you can run it yourself via the cglatot/pasta Docker image, the Unraid Community Applications template, or by grabbing the source and hosting it locally. Performance is best when the tool runs on your local network. Note that the repository ships without a license file.
Should you self-host pasta?
pasta scores 44/100 on selfhost.directory (how scoring works) and ranks #1 of 1 in Plex. It has 448 GitHub stars.
It shipped 14 stable releases in the past year. The latest, 2.3.0, came out on 26 October 2026. New versions land roughly every 2 weeks.
Setup is easy: most people get it running in one sitting. An official Docker image is available. It is written mostly in Typescript.
