What is deleterr?

Deleterr is a self-hosted Python application that automates Plex media library cleanup. It connects to Plex, Tautulli, Radarr, and Sonarr to analyze watch history and metadata, then removes media files matching user-defined criteria such as watch status, age, and streaming availability. Key capabilities include smart exclusions by genre, actor, collection, Trakt or MDBList lists, and JustWatch streaming availability; watch-based rules; multi-instance support for separate 4K libraries; a dry-run mode for safe testing; and a signature Leaving Soon feature that tags content for a grace period before deletion while notifying users through multiple channels. It runs as a Docker container with a built-in scheduler or can be triggered externally via Ofelia. Configuration is done through a single YAML file. The project is MIT-licensed and actively maintained.
