dyc3/opentogethertubeWhat is OpenTogetherTube?
OpenTogetherTube lets you host your own watch-party server where multiple people can watch videos in perfect sync. It supports YouTube, Vimeo, direct MP4 links, HLS and DASH streams, and custom media manifests. Features include permanent rooms with custom URLs, text chat, SponsorBlock integration, vote-to-skip and DJ modes, room permissions, and multiple UI themes with dark mode by default. No user registration is required to join a room. Self-hosting is done via Docker Compose (recommended) which runs the Node.js app alongside Redis and PostgreSQL, or manually with Node.js 22+. The project is licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later and actively maintained.
