What is Noobot?
Noobot lets you run your own AI agent workspace on your hardware. It gives each user a private workspace with persistent sessions and history. The system includes a wide range of tools for file handling, browser automation, document conversion with LibreOffice, media processing with FFmpeg, and script execution in a Docker sandbox. You can connect any OpenAI-compatible model provider and route requests across different model families. Multiple agents can collaborate through semantic workflows and a harness system for planning and review. The platform also speaks MCP and can attach various external connectors. A standout feature is the ability to import 3D characters and animate them by describing movements in plain language, with Three.js rendering the results in the browser. You can start the whole stack with a single script on Linux or macOS, or install native Electron apps on Windows and macOS. The backend requires Node.js 24 and uses API-key authentication with a super-admin role. The code is MIT-licensed.
