What is namer?

Namer renames adult video files and tags MP4 files with metadata from ThePornDB, enabling Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby plugins to identify content automatically. It runs as a folder watchdog that monitors a directory for new files, matches them using filename parsing and perceptual hashes, and moves matched files to a destination folder with structured names. A web UI on port 6980 lets users manually resolve unmatched files. It can also run as a one-shot CLI command to rename individual files or batches. Installation options include Docker (ghcr.io/theporndatabase/namer), pip install, and Unraid templates. The project is MIT-licensed and requires a free ThePornDB API token.
