What is mousehole?

Mousehole is a self-hosted tool for MyAnonamouse (MAM) users who run a seedbox or VPN with a changing IP address. It runs as a background service that periodically contacts MAM's dynamic seedbox API to update the registered IP, using a session cookie you provide. A web UI at port 5010 lets you paste the cookie, view the current IP and ASN, and trigger immediate updates. The project provides Docker images for amd64 and arm64, Docker Compose examples for common VPN + qBittorrent setups (including Gluetun, WireGuard, hotio, binhex), an Unraid template, and can be built from source with Bun. It supports password-protected browser login and Bearer token API authentication, with configurable host/origin allowlists for reverse proxy setups. State is stored in a file directory (default /var/lib/mousehole). No external database or cache is required.
