What is Inkstone?
Inkstone is a browser-based Markdown notebook designed for personal knowledge management. It runs entirely on Cloudflare Workers, using Cloudflare D1 for data storage, R2 or KV for attachments, and Durable Objects for real-time sync. The editor is built on CodeMirror 6 with features like live preview, focus mode, typewriter mode, version history, and support for GFM, math, Mermaid diagrams, and WikiLinks. It provides full-text search with Chinese indexing, optional semantic search via Workers AI, and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server with OAuth 2.1 for AI integration. The app works offline as an installable PWA with optimistic concurrency control and conflict resolution. Backups can be scheduled to WebDAV or S3-compatible storage. Deployment is done by forking the repository and connecting it to Cloudflare Workers & Pages. The project is licensed under LGPL-3.0-only.
