What is DVinyl?
DVinyl is a self-hosted platform for cataloging physical media collections. It handles music (vinyls, CDs, cassettes), books (manga, comics), movies (Blu-ray, DVD, VHS), video games, LEGO sets, and board games. The software fetches metadata and cover art from Discogs, Hardcover, Open Library, TMDB, IGDB, ScreenScraper, Rebrickable, and BoardGameGeek. Key capabilities include multiple collections with virtual shelf views, smart import with barcode scanning, AI-assisted entry, music market valuation with price history, game playtime estimates, printable labels, and wishlists. The interface offers 14 color themes with light and dark modes, a modular dashboard, and supports multiple languages. User management provides admin, editor, and viewer roles, plus optional OIDC single sign-on with providers like Authentik and Keycloak. Public read-only share links let others browse collections without accounts. A no-code plugin editor allows creating custom collection types. Deployment options include Docker Compose with MongoDB, ZimaOS/CasaOS via the TwoBytes Store, Unraid Community Applications, or manual Node.js 18+ with MongoDB 6+. Licensed under MIT.
