What is BudgetZero?

budgetzero is a free open-source budgeting application implementing zero-based envelope budgeting. Data lives client-side in the browser using PouchDB, ensuring no trackers or analytics. The app imports OFX, QFX, and CSV transaction files. Users can roll negative balances forward into next month. Self-hosters deploy via Docker image or build static files for any webserver. Cloud sync requires a separate CouchDB server for multi-device access. Currently in alpha version with some known bugs.
