What is Currencyinfo?

Currencyinfo is a self-hosted exchange rate service that collects cryptocurrency and fiat currency prices from multiple independent providers. Five keyless sources work out of the box: CoinPaprika, CoinLore, Binance, Currency API, and ExchangeRate-API. The software cross-checks quotes, discards outliers, and publishes a single consolidated rate via a minimal REST API with three endpoints: current prices, historical snapshots, and health status. Rate history accumulates in MongoDB for time-travel queries. You can choose how conflicting prices are resolved — average, minimum, maximum, priority order, or weighted voting. Alerts about divergence or outages go to messaging platforms including Slack, Discord, and ADAMANT Messenger. The stack is a compact NestJS/TypeScript container image (amd64 and arm64) that runs alongside MongoDB 6.0 or newer. Licensed GPL-3.0.
