bluecherrydvr/bluecherryWhat is bluecherry-apps?
Bluecherry is a Linux-based video surveillance system for hosting your own recording server with fully local video storage. It works with IP cameras via standard protocols and provides native client apps for Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, and macOS. The server includes motion detection, with vehicle and person detection coming in version 4. Deployment options include Docker Compose with MariaDB, official APT packages for Debian and Ubuntu, or building from source. The licensing model is perpetual: four cameras are free forever, each additional camera costs a one-time $10 fee, and major version upgrades are optional at half price. Version 4 is in preview with a new web UI, REST API, incident evidence bundles, and local AI detection running on your hardware.
