What is amurex-backend?
Amurex Backend is the server component of the Amurex meeting assistant ecosystem. It receives meeting transcripts via WebSocket, uses AI models (OpenAI, Groq, Mistral, Gemini, or local Ollama) to extract per-person action items and generate structured Markdown notes with summaries and key points, then emails the results via Resend. Data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Redis for caching. The backend can run fully locally with Ollama and fastembed for embeddings, or use cloud APIs. It is installed via Docker or a Python 3.11 virtual environment and requires a Supabase project and Redis server. The project is licensed AGPL-3.0 and developed by The Personal AI Company.
