What is airdcpp-webclient?
AirDC++ Web Client is a peer-to-peer file sharing application built on the Advanced Direct Connect (ADC) protocol. It runs as a daemon on file servers and NAS hardware, providing a React-based web interface accessible from phones to desktops. Users can share chosen local directories, search for files across connected hubs, download files or stream media in the browser, and join hub chat or private messages. The client supports segmented downloads from multiple sources, encryption for transfers, per-hub share profiles, and a Web API (REST and WebSockets) with a JavaScript/Node.js extension system for automation. It handles shares of over 10 million files or petabytes of data. Installation options include portable Linux binaries (x64, x86, ARM), Windows (web features built into the desktop AirDC++ client), and community Docker images. No official macOS build exists yet. The project wraps three subprojects: AirDC++ Core, AirDC++ Web API, and AirDC++ Web UI.
