FAQ

How is this different from plain tmux?

tmux gives persistent sessions while AoE adds agent-aware status detection, git worktree management, container sandboxing, a web dashboard with phone access, and a diff viewer.

Does it work on Windows?

Only through WSL2 since AoE depends on tmux and POSIX process handling.

Can I use AoE over SSH?

Yes. Sessions persist across disconnects; reconnect and run aoe again.

Which AI tools are supported?

Run `aoe agents` for the current list of supported tools.

What happens when I close aoe?

Sessions are tmux sessions running in the background; they are removed only when you delete them.
