quay.io/forem/foremWhat is Forem Selfhost?
Forem Selfhost is a collection of Ansible playbooks and templates that automate deploying the Forem community platform on Fedora CoreOS virtual machines. It supports provisioning on AWS, DigitalOcean, and Google Cloud, plus local development via QEMU. The stack uses Podman pods with systemd units to run the Forem Rails application, Sidekiq workers, OpenResty proxy, PostgreSQL, Redis, and imgproxy, with Traefik handling TLS via Let's Encrypt. The repository is marked as out of date with new instructions planned for early 2026. Forem itself is AGPL-3.0 licensed and lets you create community spaces for peers, customers, or any group.
