What is quetre?
Quetre is a privacy-focused alternative front-end for Quora that enables reading answers without ads, trackers, or bloat. It proxies all requests to prevent Quora from collecting meaningful user data, offers both dark and light themes, is fully responsive across all screen sizes, and loads pages quickly with minimal requests. The project provides an unofficial JSON API by adding /api/v1/ to any URL. It can be self-hosted via Docker, Docker Compose, or manual Node.js installation with optional Redis caching for API responses. There is no user account system — visitors simply read content without signing in.

Quora is a portmanteau of 'Questions or answers'; Quetre is a portmanteau of 'Questions and answers' in Latin.
I have some ideas/want to help.
Contributions are welcome — contact the maintainer, fork the repo, or submit a pull request.
Why am I getting a 'Recheck the URL' error?
Sometimes Quora doesn't populate the answer page HTML; refreshing the page a few times usually resolves it.
Why can I only view a couple of answers?
Quora loads more answers via AJAX as the user scrolls; extracting all answers is difficult and not yet implemented.
Why are some math equations showing up weirdly?
MathJax requires JavaScript to format TeX equations; enable JavaScript for proper rendering.
There are some unreachable routes.
The developer is working to implement missing routes; check the To-Do list for progress.
I don't want to edit the URLs manually!
Use browser extensions like Redirector, LibRedirect, Privacy Redirector, Dynamic Privacy Redirect, Alter, or Predirect to automatically redirect Quora URLs to Quetre.
How do I use this?
Replace 'www.quora.com' in any URL with 'quetre.iket.me' (or any other instance) to view the content through Quetre.
