aeternalabshq/pullmdWhat is pullmd?
PullMD is a self-hosted tool that transforms web pages, documents, images, audio files, and YouTube videos into clean Markdown. It processes web content through several extraction methods including Cloudflare's native Markdown, Readability, Trafilatura, and headless Chromium for JavaScript-heavy sites. The service handles Reddit and Hacker News discussion threads with their comment trees, document formats like PDF and Office files via MarkItDown with optional OCR for table preservation, YouTube video transcripts with clickable timestamps, and images or audio through OpenAI-compatible vision and speech-to-text APIs. Four interfaces are provided: a progressive web app, a REST API, an MCP server compatible with AI coding assistants featuring OAuth 2.1 support, and a downloadable skill for command-line use. Deployment is handled through Docker Compose with optional sidecar containers. Authentication options include open access, single-admin, and multi-user modes with session cookies, API keys, and OAuth 2.1. The project is licensed under AGPL-3.0.
