Pizza Bot is a local-first inbox application for managing long-running AI agent tasks. Users can start or schedule tasks, walk away, and return to completed work in an Unread queue and decisions waiting in an Action queue. The app supports multiple model providers. It features approvals requiring human input, long-term memory, file attachments, desktop notifications, and explicit local folder access grants. The architecture uses a stateful API server that can run embedded in an Electron desktop app, as a standalone backend for remote clients, or in a container. Frontends include Electron desktop, browser-based React UI, and a terminal CLI, all communicating over HTTP/SSE. Extensibility comes through the Model Context Protocol, agent skills, and a plugin system. Data stays local by default with SQLite persistence.
