What is Apache Pinot?

Apache Pinot provides real-time analytics at scale with sub-second query latencies. Built originally at LinkedIn for user-facing applications and autonomous AI systems, it ingests batch data from Hadoop, Spark, AWS S3 alongside streaming sources like Kafka, Pulsar, Kinesis. The system offers SQL queries via built-in console or REST API, performs joins on large datasets, supports flexible indexing including inverted, StarTree, Bloom filter, range indexes, includes multitenancy, scales horizontally, and deploys on Kubernetes through Helm charts.
