What is mycart?

myCart (formerly litecart) is a lightweight, self-hosted e-commerce shopping cart delivered as a single Go binary. It uses SQLite by default with optional PostgreSQL, so no separate database server is needed for simple deployments. The project includes a SvelteKit-based admin dashboard for managing products, orders, and customers, plus a public storefront. It supports selling physical goods, digital files, and license keys. Payment integrations include Stripe, PayPal, SpectroCoin, and Coinbase Commerce, plus a built-in dummy provider for free products. Customer accounts are optional and provide a purchase history cabinet. The software offers multi-language support (8 languages), product variants, branding customization (logo, favicon, tagline), built-in HTTPS with auto-TLS, and hardened session security. Installation options include direct binary download, Homebrew, Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes. The project is MIT-licensed and currently in pre-1.0 development (v0.x.x).

Should you self-host mycart?
