qolors/feedcordWhat is FeedCord?
FeedCord is a self-hosted RSS feed reader designed to post updates from RSS/Atom feeds and YouTube channels directly to Discord servers using webhooks. It supports multiple feed instances per configuration, Discord forum channels for gallery-style display, post filtering by keywords, markdown formatting, automatic retry logic with UserAgent cycling, and persistence across restarts to catch missed posts. The application is configured via a JSON file (appsettings.json) and can be run via Docker or built from source using the .NET SDK. It requires a Discord webhook URL and at least one RSS or YouTube feed URL to operate.
Should you self-host FeedCord?
FeedCord scores 48/100 on selfhost.directory (how scoring works) and ranks #37 of 85 in Feed Reader. It has 320 GitHub stars.
There was no stable release in the past 12 months, so check the repository's recent activity before you rely on it.
Setup is easy: most people get it running in one sitting. An official Docker image is available. It is MIT-licensed and written mostly in C.
Its closest alternative on selfhost.directory is RSSHub (85/100, 46 704 stars). It scores higher overall, so compare the two before you pick. See FeedCord vs RSSHub side by side.
