What is QBin?

QBin is a lightweight, self-hosted platform for online editing and sharing of text, code, images, and videos. It targets individuals and teams who need a PasteBin alternative with richer editing capabilities. The frontend uses pure HTML, JS, and CSS with Monaco Editor for code, Cherry Markdown for Markdown rendering, and a universal editor for files. The backend runs on Deno with Oak framework, Drizzle ORM supporting PostgreSQL and SQLite, and multi-level caching via Deno KV and Edge Cache. Key features include PWA offline access with IndexedDB, dark/light/system theme modes, real-time auto-save, customizable access paths with optional passwords and expiration times, and OAuth2 authentication (GitHub, Google, Microsoft, custom). Deployment options include Docker Compose (recommended), plain Docker, Deno Deploy, and local Deno CLI. The default port is 8000. Licensed under GPL-3.0.
