What is LidaTube?

LidaTube is a self-hosted web application that connects to your Lidarr instance to detect missing albums and automatically searches YouTube via yt-dlp to download them. It runs as a Docker container with a web UI on port 5000, supports scheduled syncs, configurable matching thresholds, and optional direct import into Lidarr. The project is licensed under GPL-3.0 and requires a Lidarr instance with an API key to function.

Should you self-host LidaTube?

LidaTube scores 46/100 on selfhost.directory (how scoring works) and ranks #21 of 31 in Music. It has 367 GitHub stars.

It shipped 16 stable releases in the past year. The latest, v0.2.58, came out on 27 October 2026. New versions land roughly every 7 days.
