## Description

Silo is a pure front-end web application that enables simultaneous chat with multiple AI models and text-to-image generation. It primarily uses the SiliconCloud API but also supports custom models including Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, X-AI Grok, OpenAI, DeepSeek, and ZhiPu through OpenAI-compatible configuration or custom code. The app requires no backend server — API keys are stored locally in the browser. It offers a Progressive Web App (PWA) that can be installed locally, a Chrome browser extension with page summarization, night mode, zen mode, multi-language support, and a simplified mobile interface. Self-hosting is straightforward via Docker (ghcr.io/kwokkwok/silo:latest on port 3000), Vercel one-click deploy, or any static hosting. The project is MIT licensed and actively maintained.
