## Description

Shinken is a monitoring framework designed as a modern, scalable replacement for Nagios. Written in Python, it maintains full compatibility with Nagios configuration files and plugins while providing a distributed architecture that can scale to large environments. The framework consists of multiple daemons (Arbiter, Scheduler, Poller, Reactionner, Broker, Receiver) that can be deployed across multiple servers. It supports high availability, realms for logical grouping, and integrates with popular visualization tools like Thruk, Centreon, Graphite, Multisite, Nagvis, and PNP4Nagios. Shinken runs on Linux, Windows, and FreeBSD, and can be installed via pip, system packages, or from source. The project is licensed under AGPL-3.0.
