## Description

PiClaw puts an agent-driven working environment on your own hardware: a single-user web front end built around the Pi coding-agent runtime, so you can chat with the model, touch files and run commands from one browser tab. Day-to-day capabilities include streaming chat with live steering and queued follow-ups, a workspace file browser with a CodeMirror editor, an xterm.js shell, viewers for CSV, PDF, image and video output, VNC panes for remote displays, cron-style scheduled tasks and searchable history, plus "Dream" nightly memory consolidation. Model traffic goes to whichever provider you configure through /login — hosted APIs such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure or Gemini, or local OpenAI-compatible endpoints including llama.cpp and Ollama — and MCP servers plug in through the bundled pi-mcp-adapter. The interface offers English, Simplified Chinese and Japanese and adapts to desktop and mobile layouts, with an iOS PWA mode. Running it is normally one container: pull the GHCR image with docker run and mount ./home plus ./workspace as persistent data; portable release bundles and a Bun-based install cover Docker-free setups, with HTTPS best left to a trusted reverse proxy. Mind the limits: a brand-new instance has no login gate until you enrol TOTP or a passkey, only the single-user access mode starts (family accounts and isolated containers were removed), the agent inherits the privileges of whichever user runs it, and extras such as draw.io, kanban, Office rendering, Proxmox, Portainer and Microsoft 365 live in a separate optional add-on catalogue.
