OpenOutreach is an open-source AI prospecting agent installed as a Python CLI. Given a plain-language account of your offering and your ideal buyer, it queries a commercial B2B data provider through BetterContact, has an LLM weigh every returned profile against that brief, and reports each verdict as a readable justification rather than an opaque score. It can then draft and deliver the opening message through your own SMTP mailbox, inside sender-side pacing and daily-cap guards. Profile searches cost nothing, while verified business addresses are bought at one credit each and only for high-confidence fits; stored leads print out as CSV laid out for popular sequencer importers. Setup is one wizard (`uv tool install openoutreach`, then start it bare), after which `find`, `send`, `run` and `status` do the work and state persists under `~/.openoutreach` so later runs continue rather than restart. Architecturally the package wraps OpenOutFind (search, scoring, address lookups, a small CRM) and OpenOutSend (the writing agent and its mail transport) around a single SQLite database, and a ghcr.io image supports timer- or cron-driven runs that exit once their goal is met. A Claude Code plugin and an agent skill ship in the repo. Constraints: there is no web interface, no user login and no published port, working use needs paid third-party API keys you bring yourself, and the project is still pre-1.0 (0.1.x, GPLv3).
