MintHCM is an open-source Human Capital Management platform built on SuiteCRM and SugarCRM that delivers a full suite of HR capabilities. It covers recruitment, onboarding, employee records, skills tracking, time and attendance, leave management, performance reviews, organizational structure, workplace booking, and analytics. The system stands out for its native AI agent architecture: it runs an MCP server so external AI clients can interact with HR data, supports agent-to-agent workflows, and includes a built-in AI assistant. Users can bring any language model from major providers, local variants, or sovereign models with no vendor lock-in. Deployment options include manual setup on Linux or Windows with Apache2, Docker, CLI, or Proxmox LXC. The stack requires a PHP runtime, MySQL or MariaDB database, and ElasticSearch. Native iOS and Android apps extend access to mobile devices. Licensed under AGPL-3.0 with no gated features or enterprise-only forks.
