## Description

Hauk lets you share your real-time location with others through self-hosted infrastructure. The backend runs on a PHP web server with Memcached or Redis for in-memory storage, and users install the companion Android app (available on F-Droid and Google Play) to start sharing. Location data stays in memory only and is never written to disk. The server supports three authentication modes: a shared password, per-user htpasswd files, or LDAP integration. A Docker image simplifies deployment, and an install script automates setup on Linux. The project includes a demo server for testing, multi-language translations, and semantic versioning with a stable release tag strategy.
