## Description

freetar is a self-hosted open-source alternative frontend to Ultimate Guitar that lets users search for and view guitar tabs and chords without ads, popups, or tracking. It features dark mode, auto-scroll, chord display, favorites stored locally in session storage, WakeLock API to prevent screen timeout, and printing support. It runs as a Python Flask application served by waitress, configurable via environment variables, and can be deployed via Docker, Docker Compose, or pip.
